Economical wall vent cap. Available with a screen, a damper, or both a damper and a screen. The damper is suitable for a range hood or any vent with an outflow. The damper discourages air inflow. The screen keeps critters out.

Sheet metal comes with protective film. Hint: to peel off, first score plastic at edges with knife.

    Damper doesn’t close!

    Beautiful looking vent but the damper doesn’t have enough tension in it to actually close and seal! Freezing cold air blowing into our kitchen through the range hood now. ** Response from store: We are sorry for the issue. The spring is intentionally very light so that the damper is able to open. The damper mostly uses gravity to close. Could you check to see if the cap was twisted upon installation? This could cause the damper to not be able to close fully. Otherwise, if the bottom of the cap is angled inward, the bottom may need to be shimmed to allow the damper to close. Please contact us, and we can try to help you with this. Thanks! **
