Customizable Stainless Steel Narrow Stile Passage Set With 11" Plates And 1-3/8" Or 1-3/4" Backset

As a solution for doors with narrow stiles, we are offering customizable Stainless Steel passage sets with 1-3/4" and 1-3/8" backsets. We combine this Emtek trim with robust, stainless steel mortise locks and suitable strikeplates. The passage function is operable from both sides at all times and does not lock.

Shown is a 1-1/2" wide x 11" tall Stainless Steel backplate with Athena levers in the Brushed Stainless Steel finish.

These mortise locks are salt spray tested and can be used in coastal environments. The mortise locks have a stainless steel faceplate on the edge of the door. This stainless steel strip will be concealed when the door is closed.

The included strikeplate is stainless steel.

View the diagrams to see what the measurements are like on example doors. Please consider the width of your door stop or astragal to make sure it will not overlap with the 1-1/2" wide trim. We have also included a diagram to help you determine handing and if your door is in-swing or out-swing. The exterior is the outside of the building for an exterior door, the hallway side for a room, or the room side for a closet or en suite bathroom.

1-3/4" backset mortise locks require a mortise depth of 2.48", while 1-3/8" backset mortise locks require a 2.09" mortise depth.

This page allows easy ordering of typical narrow backset passage functions for locks with 1-3/8" or 1-3/4" backsets. The doors should have a minimum stile width of 2-3/8". These sets are suitable for doors between 1-3/8" and 2-1/4" thick.
