No. 12 Friction Casement Adjuster
DeltanaThis is a very useful casement adjuster.
Fits easily between interior screen and window. Requires only 1 inch of space between screen and window.
The amount of friction provided by this adjuster is not adjustable. However, it should provide plenty of friction for all but the most extreme window conditions. We measure approximately 10 pounds of linear friction on this adjuster. For very large windows, an adjuster may be used at the top and the bottom. Also suitable for awning windows.
Sill mounting plate is installed closer to hinge. On narrow windows, window mounting plate will be installed as far away from the hinge as possible. On wider windows determine mounting position as follows: Open window to maximum desired opening and position extended adjuster from window to sill. Temporarily mark screw holes. Now close window and position adjuster over marks. Adjuster should be fully retracted. If adjuster is not fully retracted, it should be moved further from hinges. Experiment until optimal movement of operator is achieved.
Shown in Polished Brass Lifetime, Polished Brass Lacquered, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, and Satin Nickel.
Dimensions:
> Required width for mounting purposes: 13-1/4".
> Extended length: 20". Amount of travel: 6-3/4".
> Window mounting plate measures 9/16" x 1-3/4".
> Sill mounting plate measures 5/8" x 2".
> Total height of unit: 1-1/4".
