Pullman High Capacity Tape Balances

In addition to replacing failed antique tape balances, tape balances are useful when retrofitting antique single glazed sash with heavier double glazed sash as frequently existing pockets cannot accommodate the larger sash weights required. High capacity tape balances may be installed in place of the existing sash pulleys, saving time and money.

Works like a tape measure. Spring steel tape feeds out of balance when pressure is applied. Hook is attached to bottom corner of sash. Balance is installed flush in window jamb towards the top.

Tape balances are available to counterbalance sash weighing up to 105 lbs. Available for larger weight capacities with longer tapes for larger windows. Also available in overhead mount version. Call 215-247-0945 for a quote for sizes and types not shown here.

Frequently used in older homes & businesses where a wall of double hung sash was required. Sash could be installed closer together by eliminating the need for pockets for the counterbalance weights. Also useful for retrofitting older sash without counterbalances.

Faceplate measures 7-3/8" tall x 1-5/16" wide.

Case measures 4-7/16" tall x 1-5/16" wide x 4-3/8" deep.
