Rabbeted or Rebated Passage Mortise Lock

This is a hard to find rabbeted mortise lock with a passage function. 

It has a 1/2" rabbet depth which is the most common.

This will work nicely in a 1-3/8" thick door.

This particular lock is called Left Hand by the manufacturer. This would fit a typical Hinged Right inswinging door, commonly called a Right Hand door in the United States.

This particular lock is in a polished brass unlacquered finish.

The backset is 2-3/8" when measured from the outer part of the rabbet and 1-7/8" when measured from the inner part of the rabbet.

Lock Face is 5-15/16" tall x 7/8" wide.

Mortise depth is 3-1/8" from outer rabbet surface.

Lock case is 3-5/8" tall x 9/16" thick.

Lip to center on strikeplate is 3/4" making it suitable for 1-3/8" thick doors. If used on a 1-3/4" thick door, the lip will not reach to the surface of the door.

This particular lock is double sprung for knob operation. Also available single sprung for levers.

Hub size is 8mm.
