Please note: These humidifiers perform best when radiators reach high temperatures. On lukewarm radiators, evaporation may be slow.
RECOMMENDATION
For houses with small children we recommend taping the exposed edges with electrical tape.

19" long x 4-1/2" tall.
1/2" insert width x 6-7/8" reservoir width.
Requires a 1/2" minimum width slot in the end of the radiator. Will not fit radiators with end slots less than 1/2".

*These humidifiers are modeled after a classic American humidifier. The classic American humidifiers were manufactured from galvanized steel sheet metal and they would definitely get rusty, so much in fact, that they would rust through. Our humidifiers are made out of 316 stainless steel which will never rust through. We still find that they sometimes get rust stains. Whether this is the result of minerals in the water, the result of the properties of the stainless steel once it is bent, or residues of the machines they were made on, we don't know. However, we are confident these will never rust all the way through, as the antique ones did all too quickly.

Stainless Steel Radiator Humidifier
I was delighted to find that such radiator humidifiers are available again and this model is made with stainless steel. I bought 10 of them. I have no reason to not to expect that they will last for years.

Tight fit
Our house is populated with antique ARCO radiators, and these SS humidifier inserts would not slide into them without a substantial amount of hammering. They seem to be working, although because they don't hold very much water, they have to be refilled fairly often. I also have found it necessary to cover the humidifier 'mouth' with some aluminum screen to keep things from falling in and disappearing, and to keep our dogs from drinking them dry...
