Here is an example of a circa 1910 casement fastener. It is very similar to our improved No. 780.
Frequently screens were held shut with window spring bolts. In practice, these bolts would get gobbed up with paint. This item is similar to our improved #85 Window Spring Bolt. Other options for keeping the hinged screens shut include ball catches, magnetic catches, and casement fasteners. Note the screen is bronze screen, which we also sell.
