5" Backset Latch for Emtek Key-In-Handle Entry Sets

In the 1950s, 5" backset locks were commonly used on entry doors, offering both functional reach and elegant proportions. If you're restoring a vintage home—or simply want the aesthetic of a traditional 5" backset on a new build—you can now enjoy that look with modern Emtek keyed hardware.

We’ve custom-modified a 5" backset tubular latch specifically for use with Emtek Key-in-Knob and Key-in-Lever entry sets. This latch features a precision CNC-machined hub to accept the 0.30" square spindle included with Emtek entry sets. It turns smoothly up to 78°, and is nearly fully retracted when turned the standard 69° required by Emtek’s hardware.

Compatibility:
