60" Solid Curtain Rod

These solid cylindrical curtain rods are wonderful with brass echoing all the lovely qualities and detailing of period homes. They are so much sturdier than the "modern" hollow white rods that hook on aluminum clips. They will support more weight and won't snag delicate fabrics like the sharp ends of the hollow rods. It is very easy to cut to a custom length with a hack saw (as precaution, sand around the edge after cutting to remove any minute burrs). I also like the flexibility they offer with several brackets and clearance options. They just seem so much more appropriate for older homes (which is how I discovered them). That said, no reason not to enjoy their clean, minimalist look in contemporary homes -- they are so much classier than the rickety, common white rods. I was so happy to find these at Kilians!
