#829 Copper Dipped Steel Sash Chain Kit

This merchant provides an array of affordable goods for those of us replacing parts of our old wood sash windows. Our old house isnt nearly as old as many others belonging to people who participate in a Yahoo discussion group specific to historic homes (that I belong to), althouth the people were surely pleased to learn about this merchant when the topic of old windows and sash cord came up. I told them we ordered enough kits of the copper-dipped steel sash chain to replace all the rotting cloth cords throughout our house, as we didnt want to use something that would rot and require replacement, - which takes up a lot of valuable time we need for other home projects. Come to find out many people found a lot of very useful products besides sash chain because of the type of windows they have. They told me they had looked high and low for years without success and were thrilled this online merchant had what theyve been looking for. I cant even count how many thank you responses I received for sharing the name of this merchant, and in turn I want to thank the merchant as well for helping us out - THANK YOU - you ROCK, and the sash chain is OUTSTANDING!!!

Overall, I was very satisfied with Kilian Hardware. They have an excellent selection of window restoration materials that is hard to find outside of a few cities. The prices are better than the few other online sources I found. Their shopping cart was a bit awkward it took several tries before I could select multiple items. The first item kept disappearing from the cart when I selected my second item. One product was out of stock and that slowed shipping by a week. I can imagine it would be useful to know that before placing the order if you are rushing. Still, they contacted me immediately and the delay was not a problem for me. A review I read online reported that shipping fees were not shown before purchase, but this is not the case now. I was provided different shipping options and the price was given during check out. I would definitely recommend Kilian Hardware to those looking for specialty restoration materials.

Got the package to me within a week, no problem. One issue is that I did not get a conformation email when the shipment went out (or at least I did not see it). Otherwise, great price and fast delivery.

They had a number of items that were exactly what I needed and which I could not find at any local hardware store. Belive me, Ive been searching! The items were a sash chain kit for repairing windows and a part for my Felco pruners. The sash chain available in hardware stores is the wrong size to fit the windows in my 80-year old house, and the coils and hooks that make attaching the chain to the sash and the weight simply are not to be had locally. The order was processed and shipped very promptly. The prices for what I bought were excellent. Even if the items were available locally, I doubt the prices would be less. I have no doubt that I will be a repeat customer.

Took 2 days to my doorstep.. not bad at all.. even considering that we are on the same side of the country
