A fanlight window is a half round transom window usually positioned over a double entrance door which is hinged at the bottom and swings out at the top. Of course, any window that swings out at the top presents a problem if it should start raining.

An awning window is a window that is hinged at the top and swings out.

This piece of hardware is handy for both of these types of windows. It provides a means to hold the window open and to lock it shut.

May be operated with either a transom pole or with a finger.

Adjuster opens window 6-5/8" from locked to fully open position.

Measures about 5" in closed position.

Clearance from plane of window to inner side of ring is 3-1/2".

Hole in ring measures 1/2".

Installed height above sill is about 3/4" in closed position.

Fully extended measures 7-3/4".

Available in other sizes - call 215-247-0945 to inquire. Made by Kirkpatrick in England.

The first diagram shows a fanlight window open. The second shows a fanlight window closed. The third shows an awning window open, and the fourth shows an awning window closed.
