Spring Steel For Mortise Locks 1/4" Wide X 0.025" Thick
This 1/4" wide x 0.025" thick spring steel is commonly used for restoring or repairing antique mortise locks.
Made from high-carbon spring steel, this material is somewhat brittle and can typically be cut by bending it back and forth at a right angle until it breaks cleanly. While it holds its shape well, it can also be gently reformed to add small curves when necessary.

Perfect fit and great customer service
Found these on a google search and they were the perfect replacement for 100 year old mortise locks I was fixing. Measure and secure in pliers and then bend 90 degrees. It snapped clean and easy. My initial order was only for 1 foot but I realized later that night I would need an additional foot. One call to the store and I was able to get that additional foot included in the box to save me an additional shipping fee. Much appreciated and I will definitely be shopping here for more hardware.
