Ives No. 83 Ventilating Window Bolt

Intended for use on older windows without counterbalances, this bolt allows one to open the window to various heights and lock it in place. Eliminates the need for props to hold the window open. Also serves as a security bolt to keep unwanted visitors out when the window is partially open.

Mounting: The bolt is mounted on the top of the lower sashes' check rail on the left or right. Stike plates are mounted at various heights on the upper sash.

Operation: When the spring-loaded bolt is pulled back and turned a quarter turn, it remains in the retracted position. When the bolt is rotated back, the spring throws the bolt out again.

Base Dimensions: 1-1/4" wide x 1-1/8" deep

Strike Dimensions: 5/8" x 1-7/16"

Each bolt provided with 3 strike plates.
