Narrow 1-3/4" Backset Latch for Knobs or Levers

This is a problem solving extra short latch for doors with a narrow stile. Fits old fashioned knobs or levers with a square spindle. Clever design fits 8mm spindles on the square and 7mm spindles on the diamond.

Works with Emtek passage locks using exposed screws on standard rosettes. Requires about a 60 degree rotation to fully retract. The hub will continue to turn to 65 degrees, however at 65 degrees, the latch is over retracted. Standard Emtek passage sets use a 60 degree latch. Emtek locks using concealed screws or with Stretto sideplates require a 28 degree latch. Please note: Emtek locks with the 28 degree upgrade latch will not work with this latch. If you intend to use this latch with an Emtek lock, order the lock with the standard 60 degree latch. Also, you need to replace the die-cast Emtek spindles with a 8mm solid steel spindle.
